To become a regular destination for cruise tourism is one of the strategic guidelines established by the Port Authority of Tarragona. In order to achieve this objective, a team led by the Port of Tarragona was put together with the participation of various institutions including the Tarragona Tourism Board, Costa Daurada Tourism Board, the City Council of Reus, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Tarragona, the Faculty of Geography and Tourism URV, the FEHT and PortAventura World Parks & Resort. To this end, Tarragona Cruise Port Costa Daurada has been created to promote the territory and position itself as a solid alternative in the Mediterranean for tourist cruises.
